This Week’s Tip

Hello everyone, & welcome to the 417 new subscribers who have joined us this week (to see previous tips, go to The NLP Tip Archive.)

I’ve written about many different techniques & approaches for getting what you want, but this week’s tip is probably the wildest.  I started using the ‘Manifestation Turbocharger’ for getting more of what I wanted a while ago, & it really works, whether you want more money, more clients, more time or anything else.

So what is the manifestation turbocharger?  Gratitude.

If you want more of something in your life, be grateful for what you already have.  As what you have increases, you can allow yourself to become even more grateful.  You can be grateful to whatever you like, for instance…

§         Universe

§         G-d

§         All That Is

§         Universal love

§         Your neurology

§         Evolution

§         A Higher Power

§         The Natural World

§         Energy

§         The Force

§         Wholeness

§         Natural law

§         Your Unconscious

§         A Guardian Angel

§         Quantum Field

§         Spirit

§         All of the above

§         Anything else

You can be grateful to any or all of these, as well as anything else you can think of.  Remember, what the thinker thinks, the prover proves (see NLP Tip #3) so you can make up something to be grateful to that has all the qualities & attributes you would like in a deity. *

*        (If this upsets you because your God is the One True G-d, worry not; you are of course, correct.  The above section is only for those poor folk who don’t know about the One True G-d J)

1)      Make a list of all that you are grateful for in your life.

Gratitude is one of the most powerful ways to focus your mind.  The pattern of gratitude in your consciousness gets you into receiving mode, & receive you will.  Stuff you can feel grateful for includes:

§         M^oney

§         Love

§         Awareness

§         Friends

§         Loved ones

§         Books

§         Fun

§         Knowledge

§         Family

§         Your home

§         Inner peace

§         Feelings

§         Health

§         Having eyes

§         Anything else

Remember, what you focus on increases: if you only have £5, be grateful for that & you’ll get more.  If you haven’t been in love since you were 10, be grateful for the love you had then; you’ll get more.  If you only have present moment awareness for 30 seconds a month, be grateful for that 30 seconds, & more will be on its way.

2)      Make a list of the stuff you want more of.  Then, be grateful for whatever amount of it you’ve already got.

Obviously, if what you want is a Ferrari, & you don’t have one, you can’t be grateful for it.  But you could be grateful for your existing car, or your bicycle, or your legs, or your wheelchair.  Be grateful for what you’ve got, & it opens the way for you to get more.

How does this work?

The brain likes pattern & familiarity. If a person reinforces a pattern of shortage or lack, it becomes familiar, & they start to filter incoming data to support the idea of lack.  If a person reinforces a pattern of plenty, then they will filter incoming data to support that idea.  You may ask “Will that really change the reality of the situation?”, but bear in mind that you are creating your own perception of the reality of your situation in every single moment.  What the thinker thinks the prover proves.

Business Essentials:

Many people working in businesses today perceive a shortage of one sort or another, whether it’s a shortage of capital, clients, time or staff.  The more you focus on the shortage, the more of an issue it can become, especially if it’s been going on for a while (remember, the familiarity factor means that even the most intolerable situation eventually become the status quo.)

One way to shift the shortage pattern is to start being grateful for what you do have.  If you only have 10 clients & you want more, be grateful for the 10 you have – more will come.  If you only have 1 member of staff & you want 5, be grateful for the one, & more will appear.

Think this is hippy nonsense? Be scientific about it: experiment with gratitude for a month & record your findings.  If you are unwilling to do so because its “silly” or “new agey”, congratulate yourself on the strength of your own belief systems, & don’t become too curious about just how quickly you can harness their power to give you even greater benefits.

At the end of last year, I received an email from Martin Russell asking me to review his ‘Word of Mouth Magic’ program.  I did, & I was blown away by the quality of what he’s put together.  There were lots of ‘I wish I’d thought of that’ moments as I read the material, but it inspired me to put it into action right away.  If you want to grow your business, I strongly recommend that you have a look at what Martin has to say.
