| The Meridian Training
Room |

|
|
| As those
of you who have trained with us in the past may know, we have been
searching around for a while for a better training space which
incorporates our needs as trainers and your needs as our clients. Our
previous site was useful and practical, but could in no way be described
as beautiful! We felt it was time to move on and find somewhere that
fitted in with the way Salad was changing and growing as a company. |

|
| |
|
|
|
We drew up a list of what we considered our most important
criteria for training space and asked people on our trainings to fill out
questionnaires too. Since then we have been combing the county for a
suitable venue. |
| |
|
|
We found that it was easy to find fabulous conferencing
facilities as long as we had an unlimited budget. We looked at loads of
gorgeous rooms, but turned them down, knowing that as a consequence of
using them we would be forced to increase our training fees. Something we
were just not comfortable with doing.
|
|
 |
We struck lucky when one of our clients told us about his
project to create a training space in his complementary health centre. The
Meridian Centre for Complementary Health Care is situated two minutes walk
from our offices and five minutes walk from Hinckley town centre. |

Peter Allison, the proprietor was in the process of
remodelling the space and agreed to incorporate some of our ideas into his
plans. It is so rare that this kind of opportunity comes along that we
jumped at the chance. His willingness to involve us in the project meant
that we could guarantee that our needs were being met. It meant waiting a
little longer than we had anticipated for the finished result, but we
think you will agree that it was worth it. |

|
We love the space to work in because it is so light and
airy with big windows and high ceilings. It is blessed with lots of
natural light and plenty of good quality halogen lighting for the winter
months when the afternoons get darker. It is a simple, yet beautiful
space. The wooden floors are complemented by fabulous jewel coloured rugs
and the plain cream walls are decorated with beautiful fabric hangings.
It provides plenty of room for the intimate style of training we provide,
and we can comfortably seat fifteen people and still have room for all of
our exercise based trainings. |
| |
|
|
|
On a more high tech note it is equipped with its own air
conditioning and under floor heating system which we can control according
to your needs, and we have our own dedicated facilities for making drinks
and providing snacks throughout the day. It is within easy reach of
Hinckley’s pubs and restaurants and has on street parking facilities as
well as several large car parks only minutes walk away. The train and bus
station are also five minutes walk from the centre. |

Peter has proved to be a caring host for our trainings and
has ironed out any of the little glitches that come with new build
projects as soon as they have come to light. He is still working with us
to improve the space as the number and complexity of our trainings
increase and we are incredibly grateful to him for the sterling work he
has done on our behalf. |
